Dear Editor, I don’t have, nor have I ever had, children who attend Bowen Island Montessori.

Dear Editor, I am writing in response to your articles concerning the human rights complaint against Bowen Island Montessori School (BIMS) and the numerous Facebook conversations on race/racism (Aug 19).

Here on Bowen Island we like to think of ourselves as good neighbours. We look out for each other’s kids, we help one another move large pieces of furniture, we bring pies and bottles of wine when someone moves in next door.

Dear Editor, My son Ari just celebrated his seventh birthday, the fourth celebration we’ve had on Bowen since moving here in 2013. Moving to Bowen Island was the best decision we could have made, hands down.

Dear Editor. After reading your article a couple of weeks ago about longtime Bowen residents leaving the island, it got me to thinking about why our family moved here last September.

Dear Editor, I was happy to read in Bowen Island Montessori School’s statement that they welcome discussion on topics of diversity and inclusion.

Dear Editor The Loggers Show was, indeed, a “blast” from start to finish and in every way.
