Since 2003, 40 Bowen Island Community School students have received a gift of books from the Carolynne MacNeil Memorial Gift of Books trust fund. Carolynne grew up on Bowen Island and worked at the Snug Cove General Store for many years.

Community cupboard in care of library

Until now the Community Cupboard has been operated by Adrienne Lawson. Starting on July 3, the Bowen Island Library will be taking care of requests for the free loan of such items as walkers, wheelchairs, crutches and other health help equipment.
