With the end of summer drawing near, it was time once again to crown the men's, ladies, and junior club champions at the Bowen Island Golf Club.

Despite many misgivings about the weather, August 24 proved to be an excellent day for both our community run and for Bowfest. We had a record number of enthusiastic young runners, from two-year-old Amadea Sarra up.

Another year, another epic tournament! On Monday I decided to stop by the ballpark in Snug Cove, which only the day before had been packed full of fans and ballers, heroes and hecklers watching the action unfold at the most exciting Bowen Island Men'

It has become a tradition to start Bowfest day with a run for a good cause. At 8:30 a.m.

The seventh annual Denman Island soccer tournament attracted a large Bowen crowd, ready and keen to play soccer. A true family affair, this tournament helps to support soccer on Denman.

For Bowen Island youth, playing baseball means commuting to Vancouver for games as well as practices. The schedule can be demanding but Fraser Durrant says that the season has been a lot of fun for the players as well as the coaches.

The weather was fantastic and the course was in pristine condition for the third annual J&E Backhoe ProAm at the Bowen Island Golf Club on Monday, July 15.

Stand up paddle boarding (SUP) has gained a lot of popularity the past couple of years, and for good reason. It's a fun and easy way to enjoy beautiful scenery, soak in some vitamin D and experience that peaceful bliss of being on the water.
