On Sunday Oct. 9 the Bowen Community Foundation will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly created Garden Gateway and will simultaneously launch its annual giving campaign, For Bowen, For Ever.

The heavy rains had broken to a slight drizzle by the start of this year’s Nature Dive and the smaller crowd of 50 or so people who made it our event had an intimate view of the marine creatures on display.

The Garden Club invites Islanders to the final Open Garden of 2016 at the home of Geri Stimson at 342 Creek Rd. on Sunday, Sept. 25 from 1 to 3 p.m.
